Snehalaya’s Rehabilitation Centre for HIV infected women and children, children of prostitutes, rescued minors from the flesh trade and other neglected sections of our society occupies 7500sqft on a 7 acre plot of land in the MIDC area of Ahmednagar. Rehabilitation efforts are further supported by a vocational training center in the same premises

There might not be a single VCSE & T, who will like to stay in flesh trade if provided good earning alternative. But besides earning there are some socio-psychological issues related to these problems which are major hindrances in rehab of these women & their children. These issues are to sorted out first. It is a slow process . So before integrating these victims directly in to society they have to be counseled and prepared to accept their new life. Hence the need for Rehabilitation center arises. Snehalaya formed a rehab center constructed on more than 10,000 sq.ft., wholly through public donations. Its a record in itself to get involved such a large number of people in so noble but greatly ignored cause of uplifting the exploited. Nearly 30 inmates are now availing of the facilities in Snehalaya.
